Trip Itinerary
(2 Nights–Welcome Dinner party, dinner with wine and American Buffet breakfasts)
Upon arrival, we will go straight to the heart of Italian culture at Piazza Duomo to enjoy an espresso or a spritz at an elegant Café’ in the Galleria of Vittorio Emmanuele, facing La Scala Opera house and Milano’s cathedral the Duomo. After this first immersion into Il Bel Vivere, we will head to check-in and relax at our sumptuous lakefront luxury hotel on famous Lake Maggiore. This evening we will have our Trip Welcome meeting and dinner party with wonderful Piedmontese wines overlooking the Lake.
This morning we drive along the castle and garden strewn shores of Lake Maggiore into Italy’s Northern neighbour Switzerland for a relaxing lunchtime visit of Lugano, before heading to Lake Como for some free time there. Back at our beautiful hotel we’ll have some downtime before a good dinner with wine in the restaurant tonight.
(2 Nights– 2 Dinners with wine and American Buffet breakfasts). This morning we’ll have a leisurely departure to fully enjoy our arrivederci to the Italian lakes before we head south to Santa Margherita and the Italian Riviera. After lunch at Santa Margherita we will visit magic Portofino with free time before heading to Genova. Tonight we will have a Genovese Pesto dinner with wine at Genova’s lively historic port.
This morning we will head to La Spezia to start our full day excursion to Porto Venere and the Five Lands, the Cinque Terre with our Pirate local expert guide, who will show us the coves and haunts where the first pirates to use the skull and crossbones came from. Later we return to Genova and our hotel for a Ligurian dinner with wine.
(2 Nights– 2 Dinners with wine and American Buffet breakfasts) Today we drive along the Italian Riviera to Ventimiglia and the French border. We’ll stop for lunch in Montecarlo in the Principality of Monaco, one of the smallest states in the world. Then we continue to Nice, driving the breath-taking Corniche Road. This evening we’ll visit the old city center and and tonight’s dinner with wine will be in one of the colourful old restaurants dans le coins.
We start today with some free time to explore Nice’s wonderful old town. Afterwards, we take the Corniche Road again to visit the castle town of Eze, stopping at one of its perfume laboratory outlet stores. Tonight we will enjoy a typical French dinner with wine and music!
(1 Night– Dinner with wine and American Buffet breakfast)
Today we pass from La Cote Azur into Provence and to Avignon. For most of the 1300s, the papacy relocated to Avignon, and the resulting explosion in construction made this one of France’s architectural treasures; it also gives us the name Chateauneuf du Pape. After visiting the Pope’s Palace, we will have free time for exploring this UNESCO World Heritage listed town. Tonight’s dinner will feature the famous Burgundy wine of the area.
(3 Nights– 3 Dinners, with wine and American Buffet breakfasts)
Today we drive to Barcelona in Cataluña, Spain (for now). Our road follows the coast and we will stop for our lunch at charming Perpignan, the last French town at the foot of the Pyrenees, once the capital of the Kingdom of Majorca. Upon arrival in Barcelona, capital of the Catalan province and home of Antoni Gaudi. Tonight’s dinner with wine is at a downtown restaurant.
We have a full day of touring and exploring this unique jewel on the Mediterranean Sea. The city’s trendsetting energy is palpable to all visitors, and we will see the essential sights during our locally guided city tour. The Sagrada Familia and other masterpieces of the visionary genius of Gaudi, capable of transforming light and movement, the Gothic Town with its beautiful cathedral, the Ramblas, the Barceloneta, the Boqueria market and the Plaza de Colon will all be visited today. Tonight we’ll have our first Paella washed down with local Rioja at a local restaurant on the Ramblas.
Barcellona Today is our completely free day to do exactly as you please. Pose for a picture with Cristobal Colon on the Ramblas, shop for some boots, hit a museum or just take a siesta: a completely free day. Tonight we have a Flamenco Farewell Party: Tapas, Tempranillo, y Guitarras!!
